Product feed automation is a scheduled (CRON) rule in the Automatic rules: on a schedule and without any manual work, it downloads and processes your suppliers product feeds. For the Termék feed letöltés task (product feed download) you can set whether the rule processes all feeds, or only one feed source that you select.
The values of the Product feed source list: the All feeds in order option, followed by each feed source you have created, shown with its name and feed type (for example ALSO (ALSO Hungary - sFTP)).
Click Main menu / Settings / Automatic rules, then the New button. On the Actions tab of the window, choose the Időszakos szabály futtatása type (scheduled rule) from the Type list. The screenshots are taken from the Hungarian demo interface.
On the Settings tab, choose the Termék feed letöltés task (product feed download) from the Defined task list. In the CRON rule field enter the schedule, or click a quick button (for example Every 4 hours). Below the field the system shows in plain text when the rule will run.
After you choose the Termék feed letöltés task, the Product feed source list appears. You can choose between two options:
Use Save to store the rule. If you cannot find the feed source in the list, first create it under Main menu / Integrations / Product feed / Install new feed.
You can add any number of rules for the same task, each with a different feed source and a different CRON rule. For example, one rule can download the ALSO feed with the 0 */4 * * * schedule (every 4 hours), and another one the Crocs feed with 0 8 * * * (daily at 8:00 AM).
Put a large, long-running feed into a separate rule with a night-time schedule (for example 0 2 * * *), and a feed with fast-changing stock into another rule that runs every hour. This way the heavy feed does not hold up the update of the other feeds, because the All feeds in order option processes the feeds one after the other.
In the list of the Automatic rules, the Defined task column of a scheduled rule shows the name of the selected feed source next to the task name (for example Termék feed letöltés - ALSO). If the rule processes all feeds, only the task name is shown. With the Run button at the end of the row you can start the rule immediately, independently of the schedule: in this case too only the selected feed source runs (or all of them if All feeds in order is set).
Click the row of the rule, then Open. In the Product feed source list you can change the source, or switch back to All feeds in order, then store it with Save. If you choose another task in the Defined task list, the feed source setting is not kept on the rule.
The fields of the scheduled rule for the product feed download task:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Type | You have to choose the Időszakos szabály futtatása type (scheduled rule). | |
| Defined task | The Termék feed letöltés task (product feed download); this is what makes the Product feed source list appear. | |
| CRON rule | The schedule, for example 0 */4 * * * (every 4 hours). Without it the rule does not run automatically. | |
| Product feed source | Sets which feed the rule processes. With the value All feeds in order it processes all feed sources. |
The values of the Product feed source list:
| Value | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| All feeds in order | The rule processes all feed sources one after the other. This is the default value and the one set on rules created earlier. | |
| Feed source name (type) | The rule processes only the selected feed source, for example ALSO (ALSO Hungary - sFTP). Every feed source you have created appears in the list. |
No. Rules created earlier have no feed source selected, so they keep processing all feeds as before. The behaviour changes only if you yourself select a specific feed source.
The list appears only for the Időszakos szabály futtatása type, after you choose the Termék feed letöltés task. Other tasks (for example e-mail sending) have no such setting.
The rule then processes nothing, and it does not switch to all feeds by itself. The run is recorded in the log as a warning. Open the rule and choose a new feed source, or set All feeds in order again.
You can, but then the specific feed may be processed twice. If the same feed is already running, the second start skips it, but both rules can run one after the other. If you use separate rules for each feed, delete the All feeds in order rule or change it.
Under Main menu / Integrations / Product feed / Install new feed. You can find the details on the Install new feed help page.
The menu item is under Main menu / Settings. If you do not see it, the required module or permission is probably not assigned to your user or subscription; ask your administrator to check the settings.
