Languages

The master list of languages available in the system in Logzi: the name of the language, its two-character ISO code and the related language folder.

Function overview

On the Languages page you manage the languages in which the system texts and the multilingual master data can be entered. Every language has a name, a two-character ISO code and a language folder.

  • Name: the name of the language shown in the lists.
  • ISO code: the two-character identifier of the language (for example hu, en).
  • Language folder: a folder chosen from the list that contains the texts of the language.

Step by step

1. Opening the page

Click Main menu / Settings / System settings / Languages. At the top you see the New, Open and Delete buttons, below them the list with the Name and ISO columns. Click a row to select the language. The screenshots were taken in the Hungarian interface.

2. Adding or editing a language

Click New, or select a row and click Open. In the window that opens, fill in the Name and ISO code (2 characters) fields, then choose the value of the Nyelvi mappa (language folder) field from the list. All three fields are required. Click Save to store the language and Close to close the window.

3. Deleting a language

Select the row and click Delete. Before deleting, check whether the language is still used in the system.

Tip

For the ISO code use the standard two-letter designation of the language (for example hu, en, de), and choose the language folder from the folders that already exist.

The translation of the language texts is managed on the Translations page.

The Name, ISO code and Nyelvi mappa fields are all required. Fill in all three; the ISO code can be at most 2 characters long.

The standard two-character identifier of the language, for example hu for Hungarian and en for English.

The list contains the language folders available in the system; choose the one that contains the texts of the language.

You can delete the selected language with the Delete button. Before deleting, check whether it is still used in the system, because the names of the master data are stored per language.

The menu item is located under Main menu / Settings / System settings. If you do not see it, your user probably does not have the required permission; ask your administrator to check the settings.
