Cash receipt analytics

A detailed analysis of your cash items split into tabs: income and expense, partners, linked documents, colleagues and audit.

Function overview

Cash receipt analytics is a summary analysis of your cash items: how much money came in and went out, which partners you work with most, what the items are linked to and where you have something to do. The page is view-only; you cannot change data here.

The amounts include valid items only: drafts and stornoed documents are not counted, you find them on the Audit tab. The data is split into five tabs: Overview, Partners, Linkage, Colleagues and time and Audit.

Step by step

1. Open the page

Click Main menu / Cash register / Cash receipt analytics (you find it in the Analytics group). The Overview tab opens first: Income, Expense and Net movement are also compared with the previous period of the same length, followed by monthly charts.

2. Filter by period

On the Search tab enter the Document date period and, if needed, the partner, the Employee, the Cash registers and the direction filter, then click Search. The filter stays active on every tab.

3. Analyse the partners

The Partners tab shows the ranking of the Top payers and the Top payees and the list of Documents without partner.

4. Follow the linkage

The Linkage tab shows which type of document the items are linked to (for example an invoice), how many Items without linked document there are and how old they are.

5. Audit

The Audit tab collects the drafts, the Stornoed documents, the Items without amount and the Outlier items (amounts above the average + 3 standard deviations).

Tip

Before the monthly closing go through the Audit and Linkage tabs: the items without a linked document and the outliers show where an invoice or document is still missing.

You can read about the list of the items in the Cash register movements guide and about recording cash documents in the Cash register document list guide.

Frequently asked questions

The analytics adds up valid items only; drafts and stornoed documents are left out. You find the excluded items on the Audit tab.

There is no valid item in the selected period or the filters are too narrow. Widen the Document date period and clear the other filters.

The Main menu / Cash register / Cash receipt analytics item appears only if both the analytics module and the cash receipt module are assigned to your user. If you cannot find it, ask your administrator to enable it.
